In the Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg State University held a round table dedicated to the issue of innovation in the Russian IT companies, which was attended by heads of the leading IT companies (BCC, Lanit-Turk, Ascon, NewVoice, BA, C, Rameka, Microsoft and other).
General interest was aroused by discussing the role of Russian IT companies in the world market of software development, evaluation of the present situation and the vision buschuschego. Participants were unanimous in their product lines to prospects of outsourcing custom development. The need for substantial investment in marketing - the main problem faced by the Russian IT company - the developers of software products. Investment in marketing software products on world markets at times exceed the cost of developing the product itself. At the same time, Russia has not developed venture capital market that allows you to attract sufficient funds for the promotion of IT products.
With its innovative IT products, world-class, Russian companies can not realize the full potential of its innovative developments because of weak marketing system.
Therefore, some participants agree to be content with the ability to create innovative products, but are willing to abandon attempts to commercialize their own.
The real challenge is to look for alternative marketing of IT products, which would allow to do without significant costs. It is in the field of marketing and sales of IT products to be made real innovation.
Is it possible to effectively use the state support for the promotion of IT products? It is finding the best form of support for the promotion of IT products has become a major concern. And let the "experts" say that it is impossible to do. But obviously, on the one hand there is the need for investment by IT companies, on the other - there is the possibility of providing investment and the desire to support the IT industry. Investment in construction of industrial parks - it is primarily invest in the construction industry, the benefits for the Russian IT companies are minimal.
A possible variant of state support for the global expansion of Russian IT companies. Determined by the number of companies that have a competitive product, the products advertised in selected global markets and are free to users, and the Russian company receives investment (subsidies) for achieving the specified volume of attracted users. The main result - the promotion of the brand "Russian software"
